About JHarris Advisory

Jeremy Harris, licensed attorney, principal advisor at JHarris Advisory, CIPP/US CISSP HCISPP
HCISPP — Healthcare Information Security & Privacy Practitioner certification

Jeremy Harris is the founder and principal advisor at JHarris Advisory LLC, a boutique AI governance and privacy consulting practice serving health tech companies and growth-stage businesses. A licensed attorney admitted in Utah and the District of Columbia, Jeremy brings legal-grade analytical rigor to the operational side of governance — building the workflows, playbooks, frameworks, and documentation that make compliance programs work in practice, not just on paper.

JHarris Advisory is currently embedded with Intel Corporation's privacy legal team, working directly with the Chief Privacy Officer on enterprise-scale privacy operations. That engagement reflects the kind of work JHarris Advisory is built for: high-stakes, operationally complex environments where governance infrastructure has to hold up under real scrutiny.

Before launching JHarris Advisory, Jeremy served as Assistant General Counsel at Sutter Health — one of the nation's largest nonprofit health systems — where he advised leadership on HIPAA/HITECH, CCPA, OCR investigations, health tech deployment, and cybersecurity risk. That experience advising from inside a major health system on the exact regulatory and operational challenges his clients face is a core part of what sets this practice apart.

Jeremy also retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2025 after a distinguished 20-year career, on active duty and in the Reserve. He led multi-member legal offices as General Counsel and advised executive leadership on military operations, litigation, privacy, compliance, contracts, and organizational risk governance.

The Approach

"I think like a lawyer and deliver like an operator."

Most governance consultants deliver policies. JHarris Advisory delivers operational infrastructure — the intake workflows, escalation paths, decision frameworks, and documentation standards that turn governance from a concept into a program your team can actually run.

The legal background means the analysis holds up under regulatory scrutiny, due diligence review, and board-level questioning. The operational delivery means your team walks away with artifacts they can implement immediately — not a report that explains the problem without solving it.

Every engagement includes a Counsel Review Gate — a built-in milestone where your legal counsel reviews the operational steps for legal sufficiency. JHarris Advisory builds the governance infrastructure; your attorneys confirm the legal adequacy.
